A Simple Joy

It's Raymond's Birthday today, 9 Dec. We decided not to throw a big birthday party . In fact, we had a simple and warm birthday celebration at home. Just the two of us

Blueberry Cheese Cake as Raymond's Birthday Cake.

The candles are aflame and close your eyes to make a wish
Michelle : May all his wishes will come true!

Blowing out the candles after the birthday song.

A popular dish on birthday.
Longevity noodles - symbolises a long life

Even though it was a simple birthday celebration, we appreciated the little things and felt happy and contented with such. What matters most is the every previous moment and joys we shared in our life.

Hubby, I would not let a year pass without handing something to you be it simple or exquisite. I promised, we will have a romantic dinner of two plus a special birthday gift one day! I can see a wide smile on his face now.

Fabulous Party at Al Badha Villa

Moving into a new home ranks among the more exciting events in life. It’s definitely time to break out the bubbly and celebrate!

Tan, one of the pioneer Malaysians in our company, has moved to his new villa on July 08. The villa is pretty huge and located in Dubai Petroleum Community.

To welcome some close friends to his new villa, Tan decided to throw a small house warming party on 28th Nov 08 , Friday at 7pm. The party is casual and more to potluck dinner.

Tan & his wife, the lovely host and hostress of the party.

We had malaysian style dinner, Yummy Yummy.
Malaysia Traditional Dishes - Fried Beehon, Steam White Chicken with "Bentong Chili", "Siu Yuk" (barbecue pork). Thumb's up to Aunty Lilian especially for her mouth watering "Tau Foo Fah".

Raymond never left behind to show off his cooking skill. Presented everyone with his finger licking FRIED RICE and CURRY CHICKEN. Secret recipe from his mom!

The Three Musketeers, inseperable friends who fight by motto " One for all, all for one"!

Where are Edward and Lim???? Oops, Raymond has forgetton his job as the camera man of the night.

Many thanks to Tan and his wife for this fabulous event. After all, nothing can make a home more welcoming than sharing it with friends.

Amazing London

It is always our wish to visit London since student time. We knew that whatever the budget is, visiting London will be expensive compared with many other countries. Thank God and "Good Samaritans" for this golden opportunity.
Taking the opportunity of Eid Festival on 1st Oct 08 to 5 th Oct 08, we decided to take 5 days good break at London.

Here is the is start of our exciting and fascinating tour to discover London. Visitng London is incomplete without checking out the following attractions.

MADAME TUSSAUDS

Welcome "Spiderman" pose by Raymond at the famous MADAME TUSSAUDS!

mmm..not bad to taste what it is like to be famous joining a host of the world's hottest celebrities - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - EVEN their statues!

Audition of Bollywood Star with the judge Amita Bachan. Ashawarya Rai is searching for a new face for her lastest hit. Raymond - are you qualified?? heheheeee....

Beauty and the Beast. Incredible Hulks, " YOU ARE MY MAN!" Michelle said.

"CHANGING THE GUARD" AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE

London's most recognizable and most frequently visited landmarks, the awesome Buckingham Palace.

Michelle & Raymond were eagerly waiting for the Changing The Guard Ceremony outside Buckingham Palace.

The Changing The Guard Ceremony is accompanied by a Guards Band. The process involves a new guard exchanging duty with the old guard.

The Queen's Guard in the traditional full dress uniform. I love his red tunics and bearskin.

BIG BEN & HOUSES OF PARLIMENT

Do you know "Big Ben" is the name of the clock inside the famous tower? It also forms part of the Houses of Parliament

THE LONDON EYES

The beautiful scene of The London Eye at a height of 135 metres is the biggest Ferris Wheel in Europe.
TOWER BRIDGE

Tower Bridge has become an iconic symbol of London which is sometimes mistakenly referred to as London Bridge.

HARRODS

The splendid building of Harrods which by the brand itself , has always prided on a reputation for excellence and finest-quality merchandise. You can see on Michelle's face, a true sensation once she steps out. Harrods cannot be beat by any stores!

STONEHENGE
An experience which we will never forget. The great attraction of Stonehenge is the mystery of this massive and awe-inspiring structure.
There are tons of story behind Stonehenge, involving everything to aliens. Unfortunately, the people who built Stonehenge didn't leave much evidence of why they built this massive structure.

FOUR SEASONS AT BAYSWATER

Four Seasons Restaurant - no matter rain or shine, they will be always a queue ouside the this Restaurant with eager diners awaiting their seats for the supposedly legendary roasted duck. Raymond and Michelle were queuing for half an hour. From outside of the restaurant, you can see that the duck hanging side by side, glistening and lacquered has created a seductive lure on us.
The glistening dark brown skin says it all. The meat is so moist and tender that it crumbles nicely as you bite into it. Raymond's favorite kai lans with oyster sauce were perfectly cooked, crunchy and amazingly fresh.
Michelle said:" It is well worth of wait!".
